Nick Bell Design

We have recently been appointed interpretation and design consultants for the development of a new arts centre for Merthyr Tydfil in south Wales. We won a three-way pitch for the contract and will be working in collaboration with Nick Coombe Architecture on the design and Kate Hulme on the interpretation. The project, run by Merthyr Tydfil Housing Association, will transform the Old Town Hall (a Grade II* listed building) into a new regional arts centre, providing new performance, education and community facilities. The new centre, called REDHOUSE, will draw from the rich political and industrial heritage of the town to harness a new energy and promote renewed creativity. The project is due to complete 1 March 2014.
